Vintage 1970s skateboard forum

Here’s my undrilled sims racing turner summerski , I had a red and yellow one of these a lot of years ago and regretted selling it straight after so lucky to find another as good as the one I had , this was one of many skateboards from a well known skateboarder and collector who passed away last year and originally this one was from the estate of Tom sims , accordingly he had a fair few he’d just kept,

thats a beauty,are you going to fit the strokers? i dont think i could bring myself to drill it
is the sticker stuck on top or lacquered over? ive never seen one in the flesh,i presume its not screened?

It’s a die cut sims racing decal not lacquered over , they all were my old one was same and all others I’ve seen were but saying that someone on the turner Facebook page has one which is silk screened but every other one is like this , I particularly like the colourway on this one , accordingly but don’t quote me on this but the sims racing ones were made by Bobby turner himself , I did get it to fit your strokers on but now I’ve got it I haven’t got the heart to drill into it

I forgot how nice these are in the flesh you can see why they were so much more expensive back in the day than every other board

have you broke out the hammer drill yet?
