Here I have a pretty og Olympic freestyle , quite like the wheel wells on these , I think it’s circa 1977/78 and few adverts for these from back in the day, as said earlier the advert in the mag was a bit risqué for kids reading a skate mag , adverts are last pics, she was certainly keeping abreast of the latest craze 😂

malibu was my fave park,it was indoors which was a necessity over here and we would go there most saturdays trying to avoid the groms  ive searched many times over the yrs for pics but apart from the ones in skateboard mag when they did a review theres virtually nothing out there, roxy skates in swinton was another fave and again no pics what so ever

bit of info on our old fave the surf flyer  truly awful boards but must have been many folks first skateboard, i never realised they were churning out that many of them or that they had done a reissue,i did see one of those a while back and wondered what it was,as for the part about it being a good slalom board on a steep hill??

Don’t know if this deck is homage or not, I suspect not, but it’s got Silver Fox trucks and wheels that would be a nightmare to get the bearings out of 😂

those wheels are bizarre, they look like some sort of roller or something that was intended for some machinery and someone thought they will fit great on my board  some kids dad probably brought them home from work
