Vintage 1970s skateboard forum

Pretty sure this is my first but it’s been quarantined for two weeks and sprayed with that stuff now so hopefully it’s ok

No sign of dust or clicking which I think you get with live woodworm.

This is definitely the oddest thing I’ve had to buy relating to collecting old skateboards

The signs were clearly visible in listing I purchased from though

As one of the 4 regular contributors I’ll chip in 😂

I do recall that logo from back in the day and thought it was British but not 100%even all components were nos he’d just about get that money.

That period of decks before 8” trucks were common, no concave and between 8” and 9.5” wide was very ...

These made good money, nice looking things too

A touch of YoYo and Kanoa Rollouts about them

My eyes hurt

Massively overpriced but quite the set up back in the day,

The deck has nice wheel wells and Belair Wings

Oops

This photo came up on my FB feed couple of Benjys in the background with a couple of 10” decks so just as times were changing, it’s a great photo

When you see the construction of boards like that you can see why they were a premium price board compared to the simple construction of the early Powell wide boards, some of which didn’t even have wheel wells

This appears to be Shiners first foray in to selling of their back stock. In an old ESA zine from around 82 but available form Alpine Action
I wonder how much a Shogo was?

Found a load of old zines and price lists today that I forgot I had.

It had passed me by BB Superboots came in pink, only ever seen Green & Orange

It’s very like my MPI deck on the left here, but the wheel base is definitely different and there are no sign of truck holes
Some numpty will probably bid on it

this looks like one of those mpi decks to me  especially in that colourway, its a strange one because its not one of the reissues ...
